Daft Punk x Coca Cola
Daft Punk partners with Coca-Cola to release limited edition coke bottles.
"Following a successful collaboration with Mika in 2010, soft drink giant Coca-Cola partners up with another major act in 2011 as they introduce the Daft Punk x Coca-Cola “Club Coke.” Produced in two distinctive colorways, mimicking the helmets worn by the French duo, the gold and silver bottles will see a limited production run beginning in March 2011.”
The bottles will be given general release at clubs, and will also be packaged in a collector’s box as a set, made available exclusively through the Paris boutique colette.
More information will be available through www.daftcoke.com, which goes live in a matter of months.

Rethink: De-branding Cigarette Packs
A move intended to subvert the alluring brands of tobacco giants and make smoking less attractive, London-based consultancy Build created these satirical yet serious visualisations of how a packet of 20's might look if the branding were to be stripped away. The project is entitled "Rethink".
Interesting alternatives to the "Smoking Kills" warnings are included; giving smokers some serious insights into how much time each pack smoked will rob them of, and making a feature of the terrifyingly long list of ingredients that go into each pack.

Brilliant Beirut On The Dieline
Check out what Jonathan Ford, Creative Partner of Pearlfisher, one of the most reputed branding agencies in the world, has to say about Beirut.
"In my third piece about the foreign creative influences that all designers should be aware of when looking for a fresh perspective, I'm going to talk about THE place that has left THE biggest impression on me recently: Beirut, Lebanon - a city with more texture than diamond-studded sandpaper".

15th Avenue E Coffee & Tea by Starbucks
Repurposed and reimagined, Starbucks has gone back to basics with the launch of their 15th Avenue E Coffee and Tea store. The first of three experimental stores in Seattle, this Capitol Hill location loses the ubiquitous Starbucks branding and adopts the ambience of a traditional neighborhood coffeehouse. Completely gutted and redesigned using a plethora of recycled, reclaimed and refurbished eco-friendly materials, this old store is now primed and ready to play neighborhood host to live music and poetry readings.
Is anyone loving this as much as I am? Gorgeous....

Rebranding NYC
The rebranding division of TrustoCorp Intl - a mysterious artist (or maybe artists?) is dedicated to highlighting the hypocrisy and hilarity of human behavior through sarcasm and satire.
Last week, they went all out and dropped hundreds of subversively branded products on the shelves of New York's delis and supermarkets.
Not only was this their ambush sheer brilliance, it's also a timely reminder that sometimes it's easy to look but not see...
