Oh man! Quite impressive. Check out Sylvester Stallone blowing up YouTube to promote his upcoming movie, The Expendables.
Don't miss the animated previews on the right side of the screen who are the ones actually attacking Stallone!

Red Bull "Airdrop": A User Experience & Interactive Campaign
This project was developed as an interactive experience. The idea was to create a situation that would disrupt the daily flow of students on college campuses and create a memorable experience. The objective was to brake the passiveness of the experience which students have come accustomed to, free product samples, and involve them in an interactive experience where they would become apart of the campaign itself.

X-Ray Pin-Up Calendar
EIZO's medical imaging pin-up calendar is a clever play on those sexy girl calendars. Perfect humor for doctors' clinics.

Dutch Football Federation, 2010 FIFA World Cup: T-shirt
We've seen this done to tshirts before but still, kudos for thinking of applying the idea here.

Valvoline Promotional Tee
“Promo piece designed to embody the history of the Valvoline brand (hence the “throw back” 50’s-era can design) while giving gearheads a practical (and pre-oiled) shirt that they could wear proudly while wrenching in the garage on the weekend. The label copy lists some of the values, venues and personalities that the Valvoline brand has come to be associated with over the 100+ years of its existence."
Designed by Eric Stevens.

GAP Upside Down Store
"Shopping turned on its head" isn't just a meaningless tagline for GAP. They literally mean it. To promote their new loyalty program, Sprize, the GAP in Vancouver, BC turned its entire store upside-down. All of the mannequins, displays and even the sign were flipped, as well as some cars and a hotdog stand outside of the store.

McDonald's Creative Advertising
McDonald’s Napkins
Giant paper napkins were used to promote McDonald’s largest hamburger ever, the Big’n'Juicy, in Stockholm, Sweden.
McDonald’s Free Coffee Hourglass
Transit shelter in Vancouver was turned into an ‘hourglass’ filled with coffee beans, reminding customers of the promotion’s short-term nature.
McDonald’s Sundial Billboard
This cool billboard features a real sundial whose shadow falls on a different breakfast item each hour until noon, when the shadow of the McDonald’s arches are dead center.
McDonald’s Freshness Box Salad
Clever poster, with what appears to be fresh salad vegetables, changed a bus shelter into a section in the refrigerator.
McDonald’s Re-Opening Ads
Creative ads for McDonald’s re-opening in Birkerod, Finland.
McDonald’s Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi served at all McDonald’s restaurants.
McDonald’s Free Coffee Pole
Lamppost in downtown Vancouver became part of a clever optical illusion, appearing to pour coffee into a giant cup on the sidewalk.

UPDATE: Another really cool ad was brought to my attention. Lettuce actually planted and growing on the billboard over the weeks to promote McDonalds fresh salads. Cool! Thanks Frans!

Coca Cola: Peace One Day

A limited edition Coca-Cola can to support Peace Day:
"Basically for the first time in the history of Coca-Cola, they have created a unique charity can, on behalf of Peace One Day which is a charity that Jude Law, Annie Lennox and Lenny Kravitz are the main ambassadors for.
Peace One Day is a global charity that has a fixed calendar day called Peace Day which takes place on the 21st September, a day supported by the UN that promotes global ceasefire and non-violence around the world. The idea of the day is to promote peace around the world whilst undertaking life-saving activities, it is also an opportunity for individuals - particularly young people - to become involved in the peace process. Just to give you an idea of the good work they do in 2008 they vaccinated 1.8 million children against polio in Afghanistan.
To raise awareness, 1.1 million 330ml Coca-Cola cans with the Peace One Day logo and 'what will you do' pledge on will be on sale from September encouraging people to think about what they will do on Peace Day."

Effective!!!

This promotional ad was for the launch of Clearasil, a new acne pill. The creative solution was to use the same container to give the message: “May this be the last time. The end of acne starts wih Clearasil.” At the back of each sachet are drawings of faces with acne that -when you press the sachet to take the pill- the grain of the print is removed. A little disgusting, but very effective!
