Dart Hook Coat Hangers

I was recently assigned as Director of Levity at the office. One of the few things I'm responsible for is to make the office space around us quite lively and intriguing. A creative environment for the creative challenges we face daily. So, once again, going through SUCK UK's website, I found something that I think would look great in our office; Dart Hook Coat Hangers. They're so cool! Would we even want to hang our coats on them and hide them?

Usability Analysis of Apple.com: Why is it so Good?

As designers, we all have been influenced in some way by Apple, whether it be their brilliant OS, stunning industrial innovation, or the trends they have started in web/application design. Fruit Juice Packaging by Naoto Fukasawa

I bumped into this post on thedieline.com. These are fruit juice packages by Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. So simple yet extremely ingenious!

“I imagined that if the surface of the package imitated the color and texture of the fruit skin, then the object would reproduce the feeling of the real skin.”

"Granted the title and the picture might seem to point towards a very grim comment.
That is not my point here.

When I took this picture, I just thought the idea of a helium balloon - originally designed to bring a smile to someone - floating out of a garbage bin was a curious sight. In this case, I guess the curiosity is doubled, and the effect amplified by the wind (not captured in the picture) toying with both balloons, bringing them closer together to the point where they almost kiss, then pulling them apart again.

The tragedy of it all is that the two balloons were placed in separate garbage bins.
Seems like a Happy Never After kind of story to me. " -Fadi

Fire Bucket Ashtray

If you haven't heard of SUCK UK, you should visit www.suck.uk.com
They have some of the coolest stuff ever and I recently found out that Virgin here in Beirut has some of their products.
This retro mini fire-bucket ashtray is definitely one of my favourites. Also available at Virgin.
