The Recycled Wallet

The slim Holstee wallet design holds the essentials – cash, credit cards and even has a sliding window for your ID and Metro card. Working with a family-run non-profit based in India that works to collect and recycle litter off the streets of Delhi they were able to create their dream wallet.

This vegan (!) wallet is made primarily of plastic bags and newspapers, collected off the Streets of Delhi in India. Production of this wallet helps reduce waste in Delhi, provides fair wage employment and subsidizes healthcare and education for each employee’s family. Their packing is a minimal slide insert made of (at least) 90% recycled material.

World Record House Of Cards

American architect Bryan Berg has succeeded himself as the world record holder in number of cards stacked. Bryan Berg used 218,792 cards (4,051 decks) to create a replica of the Venetian Macau with no glue or other aids to hold them together.

Berg took 44 days to complete his model inside the Venetian, which sits at the heart of Macau's Cotai Strip, the China-ruled city's version of Las Vegas' neon alley. The hotel replica stands almost ten feet tall and is 33 feet long! Cool!

More Typographic Playing Cards

London based design studio Hat Trick Design has created their own set of playing cards using only typographical elements. The deck of cards features the usual 52 cards and 4 suits each reinterpreted using letters and numbers.

Each card is completely different representing the suit in a different way
each time using the number of the card. So the seven of hearts is represented using the number 7 arranged in a heart motif, while the queen of spades is represented using only the letter "q" arranged in a spade motif. You can purchase the deck through their online shop.
