Cecelia's Flowers

Cecelia Webber creates images of flowers entirely constructed from photographs of the human body.

Her work consists of only the naked human body, often her own, photographed in the most peculiar of positions then painstakingly overlaid using Photoshop to form the familiar shapes of petals, stamen and stem. So familiar the shapes are and so acutely formed that at first glance it is hard to tell that you're looking at naked people. Lastly, but always first in our book, she saturates the forms with stunning color. Her work pays great homage to nature: the beauty of the human figure and the shapes and colors that connect all living things.

3D Portraits Made From Phone Books

Alex Queral creates amazing three-dimensional portraits by carving faces of famous people into recycled phone books.

Using a very sharp knife, the artist carefully peels away the pages like the skin of an onion to reveal the portrait within.

Alone In A Crowd

511 miniature figures representing all walks of life, genders and ages walk alone in a crowd just beneath the surface of a table by Rolf Sachs.

"From afar, one sees only groups and crowds yet when seen up-close, you recognize that each figure is entirely individual and you can discover random and humorous frames of everyday life."

There is also a clock beneath the glass surface as seen in the last image.
"The clock hands pass above the crowds and demonstrate that we are all only temporary."

The People In My Life

Designed by Carolina Andreoli, this is an infograph about the people in her life.

Each colour represents where she met these people and the circles closer to the middle are the people who are emotionally closest to her. The timeline shows when she lived in these countries, adding another layer of information.

Cool!

Real Life Into Paintings

If you're first thought when looking at paintings by Alexa Meade is "What's so incredible about this?" then you probably think they were done on canvas. But thery're not! What makes Alexa Meade's technique so interesting is that rather than painting on a flat surface to make it look 3 dimensional, she paints on 3D surfaces to make them look flat. Each portrait is an actual person that looks like a painting.

Check out more of Meade's paintings here.
