One of the stars of this year's edition of the Top Gear Live show that takes place at the NEC Birmingham from November 11 to 13, and at the ExCel London from November 24 to 27, will be the Red Dragon monster truck.

Hand-built by former European Monster Truck Champion, Rob Williams, this beast made its stage debut at the Top Gear Live event in South Africa last year.

The Red Dragon is based on the Ford F-350 Super Duty but power come courtesy of a bespoke 9.5-liter supercharged V8 engine from Chevrolet that delivers 1,308bhp and 1,040 lb-ft while burning through a gallon of methanol fuel every 50-60 yards (!).

German Tuner Breathes New Colors to Ford Mustang 5.0 GT

While the Mustang has many fans in Europe, Ford's pony car never really caught up with buyers across the Atlantic for a great number of reasons, one being that it is available only with large displacement engines that negatively affect pricing as well as other costs associated with ownership.

Nevertheless, Europe's tuning industry does offer owners some options for customization. This here package is for the latest Mustang 5.0 GT and it comes from a German company called Design World.

Ford Begins Countdown for the Launch of 2012 Focus ST Hot Hatch with New Video

Unless Ford is preparing an even bigger surpRiSe for us, the company's recent announcement on the unveiling of the "next performance Focus" at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show strongly suggests that we will see the final production version of the Focus ST in Germany.

But until then, Ford has unleashed yet another media campaign on the internet that marks the final (or at least we hope it’s the final…) countdown for the release of the new Focus ST, which we saw in showcar form in Paris last year.

Ford has gone ahead and revealed the Evos concept, which it claims, premieres the brand’s “first truly new global design language” developed under the One Ford product plan. Now, haven't we heard that before? If “New Edge” and “Kinetic Design” ring any bells, the answer to that question is yes…

According to automaker, the Evos' signature styling will form the basis for the next generation of Ford cars, minivans and crossovers, with the first actual production car to feature the new design language set to arrive in the market in 2012.

Spied: 2013 Ford B-MAX Small MPV Based on Fiesta Starts Taking Shape

Ford is putting the final development touches on the production version of its Fiesta-based B-MAX small MPV that was snagged with a funky color scheme and very few parts covered up while testing in Europe.

The subtle camouflage does little to hide the fact that the B-MAX's design is very close to the original concept displayed at the Geneva Salon earlier this year right up to the sliding rear-doors.

The only noteworthy changes over the Blue Oval's concept study concern the addition of door handles and the much smaller alloy wheel and tire combos. From these pictures, we can't be sure if Ford has equipped the tall five-door model with B-pillars.

Guess What Ford is Bringing to the Frankfurt Motor Show this Year?

The above rendering is the work of independent designer David Cardoso

While we wish Carscoop reader and independent designer David Cardoso the best of luck in his work, the 2013 Ford Focus Coupé Design Study that he drew up and which is pictured above, isn't the surprise that Ford is planning for this year's edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show.

However, it does represent the type of vehicle we will be seeing in less than a month's time in Germany.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Pink Panther Car to be Auctioned Off

Two unique Hollywood vehicles will go under the hummer at the Chelsea Auto Legends Show on September 4. The first is one of the rarest and most spectacular cars ever produced: the bespoke “Panthermobile” created for NBC’s Pink Panther TV show that ran from 1969 until 1976.

The 42-year old “Panthermobile” is in original condition, but according to the seller, it needs some restoration. Its engine is not running, though it did when its current owner bought it to another auction in 2007. Nevertheless, it’s not street-legal anyway… Its sale estimate is between £50,000 and £100,000 (US$81,000-$162,000).

Video: Just Another Drifting Day in the Middle East

For those of you that think driving through the congested roads of Manhattan or Paris is bad, maybe you should take a look at the following video, which seems to have been shot somewhere in the Middle East (if you happen to know where, leave us a comment below).

In broad daylight and while normal drivers are using the road, numerous wannabe drifters, mostly in American and Australian rear-wheel drive saloons like the Ford Crown Victoria, Chrysler 300 and the Holden-based Chevrolet Caprice, are showing off their rides slideways.

Edsel Ford’s Restored 1934 Model 40 Special Speedster Makes a Special Appearance at Monterey

Nearly eight decades after Edsel Ford, the son of the founder of the company, commissioned the one-off 1934 Model 40 Speedster, the historical sports car made a comeback at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance show in Monterey, California.

The custom made model, which served Edsel Ford as a personal roadster had changed many hands after his death in 1943 until its last owner, a Texas car collector, bought the car in 2008. After the collector’s sudden death in 2010, the Speedster returned to Edsel's home, now operated as an historic site called the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House.

Ford Obliterates Chevy in Monster Truck Tug of War

Have you ever played 'tug of war'? Well, if the answer is yes, just imagine that instead of having one or more people pulling on either side of a rope, you have a pair of monster pickup trucks battling it out for who is the brawnier of the two.

The epic battle involved a modified Ferd Ford pickup truck and what you could call a […] homemade Chevy. Follow the break to see how this works out.

US Government Pays $11 Million to Ford for Historic Rouge Complex Cleanup

The United States government agreed on Friday to pay Ford Motor Co. $10.84 million in order to settle a 7-year-old lawsuit over the cleanup of the automaker's Rouge Complex near Detroit during both World Wars.

The 2,000-acre estate was bought in 1915 by Henry Ford where, among other models, he manufactured the iconic Model T. The National Park Service has since named it “the world’s most famous auto plant”. During World War I, the US government used it to build naval ships, an activity that was joined by the manufacturing of aircraft engines in World War II. In peacetime, Ford used it for auto and steel production.

Bad Ass Ford Transit Powered by a 440HP BMW M5 V8

The European market Ford Transit van isn't exactly the first vehicle that springs to mind when it comes to drifting - at least not in stock form. Then again, the modded Transit you're about to enjoy burning a lot of rubber in the videos after the break is far from stock.

This "Made in Poland" monster van packs the almighty 4.9-liter V8 engine from a BMW M5 E39, tuned to deliver around 440-horses, up from the standard model's 400HP.

Ford Green-Lights Next-Generation of Focus RS

We've yet to see the next Focus ST in final production trim, but Ford’s German vehicle line director for C-Segment models, Gunnar Herrmann, recently told Australian news site Drive that the company has given the green light for a high-performance RS version.

Built in limited numbers, the previous Focus RS was a 305HP, front-wheel drive hot hatch that wouldn’t look out of place in a WRC rally stage. Despite the fact that all that power was directed only to the front wheels, it handled extremely well partially thanks to Ford’s RevoKnuckle suspension.

AAA Survey Reveals 25% of Americans Couldn’t Afford a US$2,000 Car Repair Bill

The former American Automobile Association, now known by its acronym AAA, is probably the most recognisable organisation of its type in the world.

And with some 52 million members, it’s also one of the world’s largest if not the largest automobile associations in the world.

Suffice to say, when the AAA speaks, the world listens. In a recent telephone survey of 1,009 adults in the continental United States, the AAA found that 12.5% couldn’t cover a US$1,000 (€701) car repair bill and 25% couldn’t cover US$2,000 (€1,402) car repair bill.
