New York City And Paris Map Cuts
A cut out map of the entire cities of New York and Paris.
Insane! That definitely required a great deal of patience and time, so its no surprise that both maps are one-of-a-kind. The NYC one is sold for $550 while the Paris one is for $250.

Lebanon In Action For The Environment
"A Lebanese environmental activist stands inside a room made out of glass on the sidewalk of Beirut's Ain al-Mreisseh neighborhood on October 16, 2009. The activist intends to endure the hot atmosphere of his glass room and the increasing water level by locking himself inside for three days and nights in an act which symbolizes the negative outcomes and the dangers of global warming."

Varini's Optical Illusions
Felice Varini is known for creating illusions of flat graphics on 3 dimensional spaces. From a fixed viewpoint these graphics will look falt.
His latest project Cercle et Suite D'eclats takes on the challenge of working at a much bigger scale, the scale of a village. In this project, he superimposed perfect circles on a town called Vercorin in the Swiss Alps. From within the village, the graphics are fragmented and don't make much sense, but from a distance, the lines form a series of rings!!!
More of his work after the jump.

Cookie Cup
As if it was made just for me!!!! For those of you who don't know, they call me the cookie monster!!!
Designed by Venezuelan designer Enrique Luis Sardi in collaboration with Italian coffee company Lavazza.
First you drink the coffee, then you eat the cup! Brilliant. And perhaps many of us have thought of something like this at some point, but they did it!
“The cup is made of pastry covered with a special icing sugar, which works as an insulator, and makes the cup waterproof hence allowing you to use the cup and then appreciate its taste.”

Sealed With A Cure
Last week, we've all witnessed cause-related marketing efforts to support the fight against breast cancer. Some were better than others while other pink painted products were just another way to profit from the suffering of others.
Purple Lab however, have managed to brand themselves to work with the cause. They launched their lip gloss Sealed With A Cure line in partnership with Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
"Not only do part of the proceeds from the lip gloss go towards helping find a cure, each lipstick is named after a victim of the disease (the first one is called Nancy) and comes with a note telling the person’s story.
It’s a good reminder that breast cancer victims aren’t just a statistic. It’s also clever that the lip gloss is formulated to enhance wellness – it’s packed with echinacea as well as vitamins E and C. I was also interested to find that it’s also scented with vanilla – the scent that supposedly fights depression."
