8-Bit Watch

Well, this 8-bit geekery is all over the place! And I'm lovin' it!

Tickette

Product designers Tal Margalit and Ellia Nattel join forces to become Tickette.
This design duo aims to offer unique products from a different point of view.

They have launched two main collections – Word Charm and Doodle Jewelry.

The first collection, Word Charm, is made of words that literally define the jewelry. The duo used text to create the actual pieces of the jewelry, so for example the pendant on a necklace is comprised of the word “necklace” and its meaning.

The second collection — Doodle Jewelry — captures the spirit and lightness of hand drawn doodles and transforms them into fine jewelry.

All of the pieces are made and designed by Tickette in stainless steel, silver or gold plated or color coated in black or red.

Rocks: A Luxurious Substitute For Ice Cubes

“Rocks” are a luxurious version of the Nordic Rock Ice Cubes that I posted about a while back.

The stainless steel cubes are chilled before being added to the beverage. “Rocks” control beverage temperature between 15˚ and room temperature depending on the number of “Rocks” used. The product adds a luxurious weight to the glass and will not over chill or dilute the beverage as ice does.

Decorative Wire Fencing

Dutch designers of Demakersvan started this idea as a design thesis project but it has since started to go into mass-production for commercial and home use due to popular appeal.

Combining the delicate decorative appeal of lace and the polar-opposite aesthetic of rugged wire fencing, these works of bent steel are like functional and appealing versions of boring large-scale metal artwork you see at office buildings.

Bic???

We all know the infamous Bic pens that cost 250 L.L right? Well, these are just the same except they're made of silver, gold, or steel; you pick. Made by Athasi. Being a huge fan of irony myself, I definitely give them a thumbs up!
