Birds On A Laundry Wire: Clever Outdoor Clothesline Design

Inspired by the classic rural (and sometimes urban) image of a bird on a wire, each post is designed to look like a power line and bird-shaped clips to hold your clothes in place.

"Miniature-You" Dolls

These dolls are hand-made copies of your clothing, your hairstyle and your demeanor... It’s a "miniature-you" made of cloth.

The company that makes them is Eloole, a design studio-workshop that was founded in Barcelona in 2004 by Fashion Designer Eloisa López and Graphic Designer Lluís Campmajó. They design and create all sorts of objects that are hand-made, which makes their products unique and exclusive.

In order to acquire one, you’ll need to send the dolls’ makers a photo and information about the way you dress. Based on that, they will create a personalized doll using all sorts of cloth and fabrics such as felt, synthetic hair, and cotton.

The dolls cost between 130-150 Euros, depending on what you order and what materials are used. Their average size is approximately 60 cm / 24 inches, almost the size of a small child!

Stefan Sagmeister for Levi's

Levi's is known for its collaboration with modern art. Modern art has become part of the brands "creative spirit and rock n' roll attitude". Stefan Sagmeister, one of my personal favorite designers, recently did some work for Levi's. For his piece, he unmade a pair of jeans stripping them down to their core to expose all the constituent parts. The work became a window installation at the American Rag's L.A boutique. Posters of the display were also reproduced and distributed across all American Rag stores in L.A and San Francisco to commemorate the occasion.

"The first in a series of works created for Levi's, Sagmeister's depiction of the building blocks of jeans is an example of the kind of stunningly elegant and subtly clever touches that makes his approach to graphic design successful with clients like Lou Reed and the Rolling Stones.
